The first shot we see of Rita is a close up on the Barge. No dialogue is spoken and it is very brief. The second scene sees her alongside Patricia Hayes, among others, as they try to force the girl to tell them who is the father of her baby. Harry H Corbett (the father) comes to her rescue, and the girl's father comes to have it out with him as Rita and Co. look on in glee. The final scene sees the wedding of the couple. Everyone is seen grabbing the wedding feast, with Rita the most verbal of the guests. In the final scene of the film Rita waves goodbye, shouting and throwing confetti with the other guests, as the couple get on the barge and wave farewell.
