They think I'm tough but I'm really very soft
-Rita Webb
RITA WEBB is from London (Maida Vale) and has played bit parts in films (with Sidney Poitier) and TV (Up the Junction, etc). She is a "stooge" with Arthur Haynes and has been married to a London music teacher for 26 years (no children). She says:
I'm up there gallivanting around the stage like a great elephant. They all
think I'm tough but I'm really very soft. I love it. The women come and kiss
me and say how much they enjoy it. They do that because I don't make them
jealous. And the men say, 'I like you because you remind me of my mother-in-law,
she's a silly old---just like you.'
